At dawn our minds are ripe with instinct.
It was 6am. I stood atop my car, staring east out over dewey cornfields. A tree line of pines in the distance creating the perfect interface for what was coming next.
As the flame in the sky started to rise, I snapped a photo of myself. One look at it and something happened in me that turned into an almost religious experience. The light coming through my specs ... wow. I had taken photos through sunglasses before but never prescription glasses. Instinct kicked in and what happened next blew my mind in the very best way.
